I did something impulsive yesterday. Something that completely goes against my nature as an MBA. Something that I'm sure has made my father, who has always commiserated with me about my mother's lack of business planning in her own ventures, roll his eyes so far back into his head that you can see nothing but his eye whites right about now. But I did it anyway, for better or for worse.
So, what is this wild thing that I have done? Well, I am now the proud tenant of Studio #145 at the Mellwood Arts Center. I now have a place to spread out all my fiber-y goodness! I will now have a place to work on my batiks that I so love!
That said, I will be moving some of the fiber-y things to a new page under the name Solstice Fiber Arts Studio. Once I get things up and running I will be posting more information. I am hoping to have a Grand Opening to coincide with the March F.A.T. (Frankfort Avenue Trolley Hop) on March 24th.

Happy New Year!
Hope the holiday season treated everyone well! Now it's back to work for us! We will be ordering seeds and starting seedlings very soon! Lots of other things in the works as well. First, I want to share a few of them with you:
1. Work for Food CSA - We still have some slots available so if you're interested please be sure to send me an email with your requested dates. For those who have already signed up I will soon be putting together a newsletter with more information so be on the look out!
2. Laundry Barter - Looking for someone who is interested in doing a barter for laundry services starting in mid-April and going until mid-September. We did this last year with much success. We would provide you with a basket of 5-6 fresh vegetables and herbs, a loaf of homemade bread and a dozen eggs each week in exchange for picking up, washing and folding one to two baskets of laundry each week. Please send me an email and let me know if you're interested!
3. Chicks Order- We are getting read to put in our spring order for chicks with McMurray Hatchery. If you would like to get just one or two chicks and don't want to have to order the minimum send me an email and let me know and we put your order in with ours and diffuse the shipping cost for both of us.
4. Oyster Fest and Mardi Gras Shindig - We will be having an oyster fest and Mardi Gras Party on February 18th. If you are interested in coming please email me and I will send you a private invitation. Would love to meet some of my readers!
